DANVILLE, Ala. (Sept. 30, 2015) — Further expanding access to product information through the most popular web destination, Hunter Safety System has announced that it is launching its own channel on YouTube. The site will be available at: http://www.youtube.com/HunterSafetySystemTV.
This new site is intended to be a vital resource for hunters, HSS customers and hunter education instructors, alike. It will offer visitors a complete library of videos on each of the Hunter Safety System products as well as “best practices” regarding treestand safety. Subject matter like “how to safely hang and use a LIFELINE,” “how to use the climbing belt,” and “how to adjust your HSS harness” will all be featured on the HSS YouTube channel along with much more hunting-safety-related content.
“Social media plays an increasingly large role in our engagement with our customers, especially with the younger generation,” said Jay Everett, director of marketing. “YouTube could be aptly renamed ‘Howtube,’ as so many people turn to YouTube to find out how something works or how to use a new product. The HSS YouTube channel will offer an open dialogue for us to provide up-to-date information on our products especially proper practices, as well as use of the products so that we can insure the safety of everyone out there.
“We want to invite hunters and hunter education instructors to subscribe to the channel so they can keep up with the latest information as well as offer comments and suggestions to the videos,” Everett continued. “We really want to hear our customers’ opinions and feedback.
Treestand accidents are the number one cause of hunting accidents today, and 86 percent of them occur while ascending or descending the tree.
“It is our goal to eliminate that statistic through education and awareness,” said Everett. “We see our new Hunter Safety System YouTube channel as a major step toward this goal.”
